A little about who we are and how we work
KINGSTON & CO
Kingston & Co was founded in May 2017.
At our core, is our exceptional support and delivery of Companies House and HMRC compliance, relieving clients of their respective filing responsibilities, achieving maximum tax efficiency through our expert knowledge of UK accountancy and tax rules.
But we also believe in helping our clients grow. We feel this is best achieved by working by the following principles.
Giving clients peace of mind that their reporting obligations are taken care of is satisfying for us. But we aim to equip our clients with the tools needed to understand their accounting position, in order to make sound financial decisions for the future. To achieve this, we like client interaction to be fluid and ongoing, rather than centred purely around the filing deadlines.
Whilst we will always promote best practice, we don't believe in the one size fits all approach. Every client is different. Our Practice employs a range of accountancy and bookkeeping solutions, and as a result can offer a truly bespoke operating process, tailored to the skills and working practices of our individual clients.
Clients, particularly those that are starting out in business, need the assurances of a fixed price in order to work with a stable cost base. Furthermore, all clients need to know what they are paying for and when. We want you to have no surprises and pledge never to undertake chargeable activity without the client having full understanding of it first.
James is the Founder and Practitioner of Kingston & Co.
A highly experienced finance professional, with 25 years service in industry and practice.
James spent the first period of his career working amongst some of the UK's biggest financial institutions. James held senior positions in assignments across Bristol, Edinburgh, Cardiff, London and the Channel Islands, responsible for the financial reporting and partnering of businesses with turnovers ranging from £100k to £500m.
Upon exiting financial services, James gained an understanding of the challenges facing Practitioners, and was able identify and implement new conventions, leading to the creation and growth of the Practice.
James is innovative, focused, and independently spirited, and wants to share not only his technical accounting expertise, but also his experience in partnering stakeholders, growing business, and delivering highly profitable trading performance.
James is married with two daughters and lives near Bristol. He is a long suffering supporter of his City's football team and enjoys running, tennis and golf when time permits.
