Kingston & Co is an independent Bristol & North Somerset based Accountancy Practice, offering expert planning, forecasting and reporting solutions to Individuals, Small Businesses, and Not-for-Profit Organisations in the area.


Founded in May 2017, our core principles are centred around coupling financial compliance with tax efficiency, whilst partnering our clients with flexibility and transparency.



About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to offer a valuable contribution to a growing business. The role will expose the successful applicant to a wide breadth of business functions including finance, sales and marketing, IT and systems architecture, and business development.


The successful applicant will assist the Practitioner in the delivery of the Company’s accountancy services and day to day running of the Practice office, ensuring excellent client engagement at all times.


Duties include:


· Operating Practice Back Office processes

· Liaising with Clients and UK government bodies

· Company Secretarial work

· Personal tax deliverables

· Client & Company Payroll

· Process improvement and documentation


Working pattern


The role is offered part time at around 20 hours a week but there is room for some flexibility. How these hours are distributed over the working week is negotiable.


Location


The main office is in Backwell, a short walk from Nailsea & Backwell Train Station and the main bus routes on the A370. Parking is also available nearby. A co-working office in Central Bristol is also used.


A hybrid working arrangement is offered to ensure good work/life balance, the exact details of which can be discussed.


Terms


The role offers a salary of £23,660 (FTE - based on a 35 hour week). Discretionary bonuses and performance related pay will also be offered.


A personal workspace and all equipment and access necessary to perform the role will be provided.



About the applicant


The successful applicant will have some experience of working in Finance. Accountancy qualifications are not essential but a decent grip on working with financial information and computer software is important.


The ability to engage with clients and be empathetic with their concerns is central to the role.
